I cannot begin to imagine the torment little April Jones's parents are going through at the moment. Police have charged their main suspect with her murder - but the search goes
on for the child whose plight has tugged painfully at so many people's hearts this week.
Like many, many people, I "shared" her photo on Facebook. I had to, because there wasn't anything
else I could do to help. Doubtless that is how the people of the close-knit community of Machynlleth felt, turning out in their hundreds to aid the search for April. And, when the police, understandably, asked them to leave the search to the
professionals, they pinned pink ribbons everywhere to show that they hadn't given up all hope of finding April alive.
Sometimes, in the worst of times, there is nothing we can do but hope - and pray.
